About the Role
The team lead plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions between the company and its agents. This position is responsible to manage a team of associate who will be responsible for reconciling agent statements, resolving discrepancies, and supporting timely settlements. The Team lead acts as a bridge between internal teams and agents, maintaining clear records and upholding compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage a team of reconciliation associates, including workload allocation, quality checks, and performance monitoring.
· Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of agent accounts and financial transactions.
· Review agent statements, payments, commissions, refunds, and adjustments and identify discrepancies.
· Coordinate with agents and internal teams to investigate and resolve reconciliation issues.
· Support accurate and timely agent settlements and payments.
· Prepare reconciliation, ageing, discrepancy, and settlement reports.
· Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for audits and compliance.
· Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
· Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
· Coach and develop team members and ensure timely completion of team deliverables.

Required Skills and Tools
· Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reconciliation tools.
· Familiarity with accounting and financial software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
· Basic understanding of financial reconciliation processes and internal controls.
Experience & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
· Experience in leading and managing a team is must.
· 4+ years of experience in reconciliation, accounting, or finance roles preferred.
· Knowledge of regulatory guidelines applicable to financial transactions is an advantage.
· Experience working with large datasets and financial records desirable.
